Adam Bingheim and Jessica Weier

Jessica happens to live across the street from St. Augustine's Catholic Elementary School, which is her alma mater.  Recently this summer she and her friend Adam were visiting with one another at her house when they heard some glass breaking, and it seemed to come from the school.  Immediately they investigated and took down the license plate number of the car parked in front of the school.  Then Jessica called 911 and police responded.  Utilizing the descriptions and information given to them by Jessica and Adam, a short time later the vandals were apprehended.  Their Brave and responsible actions were instrumental in the apprehension of subjects who were about to vandalize and burglarize a school.

Jordan Shavarebi, Senior

Jordan is also a member of this year's winning contest play.  Jordan's talents were honored by being selected to both the IHSA All-Sectional Cast and All-State Cast.  To be part of either of these honorary casts, an actor must receive nominations from at least three of the five judges at the contest.  The All-State Cast this year had only 20 students.  To have two cast members recognized from Bach at Leipzig is quite an accomplishment.  Jordan is a familiar face on the Belleville West stage and will again share his talents in the spring musical, The Pajama Game, in May. -- Laurie Bielong

Luke Schmidt, Junior

(no photo available)

Luke was a part of West's 2007 contest play, Bach at Leipzig, which took first at the IHSA Sectional and sixth at the state competition.  Luke was chosen for not only the All-Sectional Cast for his performance but also for the very prestigious and selective All-State Cast.  This honor is Luke's third year in a row to be elected to the All-State Cast.  His plans are to graduate early next year, so we will mess his talent and commitment in the 2008 contest play (unless we can talk him into staying). -- Laurie Bielong
