BTHS 201: Media Streaming Service
Occassionally, BTHS 201 will video stream certain events live over the Internet. Whether an event will be streamed depends on availability of support personnel,
importance of the event, and the perceived number of interested viewers. It is not a trivial process, so we only stream events where we believe there may be quite a few
viewers interested.
What do we stream regularly? In the 2008-2009 school year, we started streaming varsity football and varsity basketball games for both schools.
Also in 2009, we started streaming Graduation at both schools. All of these events continue to be streamed today.
All Home Games - 30 Min. prior to kickoff: Maroons Varsity Football Due to Technical Difficulties, the Belleville West vs. Highland will not be streamed tonight, Aug 27, 2010).
(During East vs. West games, the home team will broadcast the stream.)
What computers do you support? Our video streams are designed to work with Windows computers, and Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player is a
free download from Microsoft, and is available here. If you use an Apple (or Linux-based) computer, you can view the
streams using a player called VLC. You can learn more about the VLC player here.
Will my computer work? To verify that your computer will work, click on the "play" button in the video box below. If you see (and hear) a video of a football game,
your computer will work with all of our video streams.
