In celebration of the 2012 National School Counseling Week the Counseling Center is having a trivia contest. Here is the question for Day #1: How many semesters of math do students need to pass in order to graduate from East? Come submit your answer on the sheets provided in the Counseling Center by 3:30 today! Two winners with the correct answer will be chosen. ~ Mr. Wilder

Debate team results: The Belleville East debaters earned honors at recent tournaments. At Granite City High School, Cori Maloy (sr.) was named first place speaker in Lincoln-Douglas debate. Adeja Powell (fr) was second place speaker, and Devi Collins (sr) was the fourth place speaker. Cori and Devi were the top-seeded debaters going into the final rounds, and Cori finished in 2nd place overall in the tournament. At Carl Sandburg High School (Orland Park, IL), Adeja Powell won 2 and lost 2 debates in a very competitive novice Lincoln Douglas Division, and Michael Brown and Tayleur Stephens (both fr) also won 2 and lost 2 in novice Public Forum debate.
