Free/Reduced Lunches

Through the Illinois State Board of Education, Belleville East High School participates in the National School Lunch Program. A student's eligibility for free and reduced-price food services shall be determined by the income eligibility guidelines, family-size income standards, set annually by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and distributed by the Illinois State Board of Education.

Any student or family wishing to apply for these nutritional benefits, free or reduced lunches, please contact Warren Fehrenz, Assistant Principal, 222-3748.

The application must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian of the student.

The student will be issued a Lunch Card. Temporary lunch cards are not granted. It is the student's responsibility to bring his/her Lunch Card to school every day. A $2 fee will be assessed for the replacement of a Lunch Card.

Any student who is deemed ineligible will be notified in the mail of the denial of the application for free and reduced-price services and this notification will include the reason for the denial. A family may appeal the school's decision to deny an application. For information on the appeal process call Mr. David Kniepkamp, Principal, 222-3706.
